Plano, TX — The Local Good Collective has been awarded a $56,223.53 Capacity Building Grant from the North Texas Food Bank (NTFB) as part of its 2025 Partner Grant program. The grant will support critical equipment improvements, including the purchase of a box crusher, to help the organization operate more efficiently and expand its ability to serve the community.

Since 2020, The Local Good Collective has partnered with NTFB to fight hunger and feed thousands of North Texans each month. Through its two community hubs—The Local Good Pantry in Richardson and The Local Good Center in Plano—the organization provides consistent access to nutritious food and other vital resources for families across the region.

“The North Texas Food Bank is an incredible ally in the fight against food insecurity and we’re grateful for their continued support to help us serve the community well,” said Julissa Estrada, Executive Director of The Local Good Collective.

The Capacity Building Grant program reflects NTFB’s ongoing commitment to strengthen its network partners by investing in resources that make hunger relief organizations more effective and sustainable.
